How to choose the right Commercial Water Filter Cartridges

• Match the cartridge to your equipment brand and model, such as BRITA, JURA, Scotsman or Unox, to ensure full compatibility and performance.
• Consider your water hardness and usage volume; high-limescale or high-throughput sites may need larger capacity or specialist steam cartridges.
• Decide between simple replacement cartridges and full filter systems or starter kits if you are setting up new equipment.
• Check connection type, available space under counters or behind machines, and whether you need an under-sink or in-line configuration.
• Look for filters designed for specific applications, such as steam ovens, coffee machines or ice makers, to optimise taste and equipment protection.
• Review recommended change intervals and choose cartridges that fit your maintenance schedule and service contracts.

Care and maintenance

• Replace cartridges at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer or sooner if flow rate or water quality declines.
• Record installation dates and use flow meters or counters where supplied to track actual water usage through each filter.
• Flush new cartridges thoroughly before use to remove air and loose carbon particles, following the kit instructions.
• Inspect housings, hoses and connections regularly for leaks, kinks or damage, tightening or replacing parts as needed.
• Keep filters protected from freezing temperatures and direct heat sources to avoid damage to cartridges and housings.
• Work with your service engineer to align filter changes with routine equipment maintenance for minimal disruption.
