How to choose the right Vacuum Jugs

• Decide between stainless steel for maximum durability and heat retention or polypropylene for lighter weight and cost-effective use.
• Consider whether a standard vacuum jug or a pump-action vacuum jug will best suit your layout and self-service requirements.
• Choose dedicated coffee, tea or hot water jugs to avoid flavour transfer and keep beverage stations clearly organised.
• Check footprint and height to ensure jugs fit neatly on counters, beverage trolleys and under shelving in your service area.
• Look for models with compatible spare lids so you can easily replace worn parts instead of the entire jug.

Care and maintenance

• Clean vacuum jugs after each service using warm water and a mild detergent, rinsing thoroughly to remove any residue.
• Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals on stainless steel and chrome finishes to prevent scratching and dulling.
• Descale interiors regularly in hard water areas to maintain insulation performance and beverage taste.
• Inspect lids, pump mechanisms and seals frequently, replacing worn or damaged parts to prevent leaks and spills.
• Allow jugs to dry fully with lids off before storage to minimise odours and bacterial growth.
• Store jugs upright in a clean, dry cupboard or on a dedicated shelf to protect spouts, handles and finishes.
