Cold Room Monoblocks and Freezer Room Monoblocks
Replace or upgrade your walk in with a monoblock refrigeration pack. These self contained units mount through a wall or ceiling panel to deliver rapid, clean installs with minimal pipework. Pick chiller or freezer duty, ambient class, and defrost type to match Irish site conditions.
- Types: wall mounted, ceiling mounted, split or remote monoblock
- Duties: chiller 0 to 5 C, freezer -18 TO -25 C or lower
- Key specs: room volume in cubic meters, design ambient, insulation thickness, voltage
- Features: hot gas or electric defrost, heated door frames, drain heaters, easy service access
- Use cases: restaurants, butchers, bakeries, hotels, convenience retail
Use filters for room size, temperature class, mount type, and brand. For hot kitchens or plant rooms select high ambient models to prevent cutouts in summer.

Buying guide and common questions
Wall or ceiling mount
Wall units are simple to service and suit rooms with free wall space. Ceiling units save space inside the room and spread airflow evenly. Check panel strength and clearance before you choose.
Room size and load
Size the unit by internal volume and product load. Add headroom for frequent door openings or warm product intake. Undersizing leads to ice build up and long run times.
Chiller vs freezer requirements
Freezer rooms need heated door frames, drain heaters, and reliable defrost. Choose low temperature rated monoblocks with good insulation and vapour seals.
Ambient temperature rating
For plant rooms or hot kitchens pick a high ambient class unit. This maintains capacity during Irish summer peaks and reduces nuisance trips.
Drain and defrost
Electric or hot gas defrost clears ice from the evaporator. Ensure the condensate drain is trapped and routed to waste with heat where required.
Power and installation
Confirm supply, start current, and breaker size. Fit through a cut out in the panel and seal correctly to prevent moisture ingress. Commission with calibrated probes and record temperatures for HACCP.
